Dates for Blue Crab Bowl 2011 will be posted in late August 2010.

The following dates for 2010 provide an idea of timing, but dates for 2011 may be different.

Statements of Intent to participate will be accepted from September 8 to November 13, 2009. 

•  November 13, 2009
    Last day to submit submit Statement of Intent form.

    Participants will be selected by lottery.

•  November 16, 2009
    Teams selected to compete are notified;
    waitlisted teams are notified.

•  January 22, 2010
    Selected teams' registration forms are

    due.

•  March 5-6, 2010

    Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, Friday, March 5, 

    1:30-4:30 pm 

•  Inclusive event times:
    Friday from 1:30 p.m. to ~9:30 p.m. and
    Saturday from 8 a.m. to ~6 p.m.

•  April 23-25, 2010

    Championship Competition

COSTS TO TEAM

•  Teams are responsible for their own transportation to/from the BCB

    venues. 

•  BCB provides some financial assistance covering hotel

    accommodations for competing teams (2 rooms per team). For

    additional chaperones and supporters: field trip, hotel and meal

    expenses are the responsibility of the team.

•  Please note: Due to administrative and budget changes, we will

    NOT be able to offer meals or 2010 t-shirts for sale to non-

    competitors. A limited number of vintage t-shirts will be available

    for sale.

•  The 2010 BCB winning team (5 students, 1 coach) has meals, 
    lodging, and transportation covered for the national competition in
    St. Petersburg, FL. Costs for additional chaperones or supporters
    are the responsibility of the team.
