Bohemia River (BOHOH)

In 2001, SAV area in segment BOHOH increased to 143.42 ha, 89% more than in 2000 (75.72 ha). This segment accounted for a small portion (2.9%) of the SAV in the Upper Bay Zone. The Tier I goal (17.32 ha) has been met for BOHOH since 1998.

New SAV beds were mapped on both the north and south shores of the Bohemia River, from Rich and Battery points to the Bohemia Bridge (Maps 010, 011). In addition, the SAV beds in Veazey Cove and off Town Point expanded (Map 010).

There were no significant areas of decrease for this segment.
