Lower Patuxent River (PAXMH)

In 2001, SAV area in segment PAXMH increased from none reported in 2000 to 8.87 ha. The Tier I goal (143.61 ha) was not met for PAXMH, and has not been met for this segment since the inception of the aerial survey in 1978.

SAV returned to the northern shore east of the mouth of Mill Creek (Map 071), which is the only location in this segment to support SAV in 2001.
