South River (SOUMH)

Due to flight restrictions following the events of September 11, a small portion of the area mapped for segment SOUMH in 2000 was not mapped in 2001. In 2001, 10.74 ha of SAV were mapped for segment SOUMH . This segment accounted for a small portion (0.06%) of the SAV in the Middle Bay Zone.

SAV returned to the south shore of the South River off Pine Whiff Beach, Glebe Bay, and below Limehouse Cove (Map 030), where no SAV was mapped for 2000. No photography was available for the north shore below Hill Point and south shore below Selby Bay.
