Sinepuxent Bay (SPXPH)

In 2001, SAV area in segment SPXPH decreased to 669.58 ha, 2% less than in 2000 (685.55 ha), and partially reversing the increase recorded in 2000. This segment accounted for 8.6% of the SAV in the Delmarva Peninsula Coastal Bays Zone. The Tier I goal has not been established for SPXPH.

SAV decreased on the eastern shore of Sinepuxent Bay across from Ocean City Airport (Map 168); north of the 611 bridge (Maps 167, 170); north and south of Sandy Point Island (Map 170); and off Goose Point (Map 170).

SAV increased off Ocean City Airport and in the western and southern portion of the bed across from the airport (Maps 167, 168); off Fassett Point (Map 168); and from Sandy Cove to Rum Point (Maps 167, 170). .
