Toxic pollution often takes center stage in COSEE's Greatest of the Great Lakes lesson collection. A team of NOAA and external partners will begin a three-year effort to collect baseline sicence and management information in & around the U.S. Marine National Monuments and other protected places in the Pacific Ocean. Scientists will search for large-scale, high density deep coral and sponge communities and collect data to manage and protect vulnerable deep-sea habitats.
