My interest lies in the exploration and development of innovative techniques of data analysis, particularly in the area of time series such as environmental data, abundance data, etc., and two dimensional spatial data such as surface topography, species distribution and density, etc. “Traditional” methods such as Fourier analysis have been used in these areas, but the investigation of techniques based on non-linear, chaotic processses offers an intriguing field of endeavor. I am in the process of developing this research program which has grown out of experience collaborating with colleagues.
