A) The Sepik River is located on the north coast of Papua New Guinea; B) Bottom sediment sampling locations during 1996 (o) and 1997 (?), and locations of selected seismic profiles  C) Water column observations (OBS, Salinity, Temperature) were  taken along a transects across the Sepik River bar and seaward into the canyon.
