Kate Brodie graduated in 2006 from Dartmouth College, where she majored in Earth Sciences. For an undergraduate Senior Thesis Kate undertook a flume study of the applicability of the law of the wall to fine sediment transporting channel flows.

Kate began her master's work in August, 2006. She is working under the advisement of both Jesse McNinch and Carl Friedrichs. The details of her master's project are yet to be determined, but in general she will be looking at wind driven circulation processes affecting near shore sediment transport off of Duck, NC.
